Check out this new T-shirt, silkscreened with the artwork from 'I Ran So Far Away'; a vivid image of a TV in a room which melds into the sea, with seagulls flying overhead. Gray gulls frame the image on both sides, fading to distant shadows. The band name is printed above, and the album title below, in sky blue outlines. Fine jersey shirt is a lighter weight pre-shrunk cotton, for extra softness and buttery feel. From the English New Wave band 'A Flock Of Seagulls' eponymous debut album, the single "I Ran (So Far Away) reached number 1 and number 10 in Australia and the US respectively. It was their biggest hit, thanks to heavy rotation of the unique video on MTV. The album's other hits, "Telecommunication" and 'Space Age Love Song", were part of the "modern rock" soundtrack to any 80's teenage punk rocker. The band toured with 'Squeeze' to promote the album in the summer of '82. Did anyone else see the show at Jone's Beach Theater on Lawn Giland NY, in that torrential downpour??
